SOMETHING WIKKED

VERSE 1:
Something wikked this way comes;
a tide that rises with the setting sun.
Cross your heart, and hope to die-
stick a rusty syringe in your eye.

In the cemetery, where the statues sing
the bell ringer's love sleeps through the spring.
Doctor Giesel, can’t you patch her up?
"Drown his sorrows in a jeweled cup."

CHORUS:
Seems dear Mother Goose
made a tiny mistake.
Now the bough's gonna bend;
the bough's gonna break.

Here come the king’s horses;
here come the king’s men.
To try to stitch your face
back together again.

VERSE 2:
Something wikked this way comes;
pack your bags and dust off your guns.
Close your eyes and count to three;
hang your head beneath the Giving Tree.

The spider in the well sings to the fly–
“My dear, you gave it the college try.”
Jack brought the hammer; Jill took the sack.
Someone’s little lamb isn’t making it back.

CHORUS:
Seems dear Mother Goose
made a tiny mistake.
Now the bough's gonna bend;
the bough's gonna break.

Here come the king’s horses;
here come the king’s men.
To try to stitch your face
back together again.
Something I've been kicking around in my skull for a few months now; inspired by "The Real Story of the Three Little Pigs" and the recent video game "Alice: Madness Returns." Being a voracious reader from the beginning, my family owned quite a few nursery rhyme and fairy tale compilations, and in high school I found it very interesting to research the (sometimes) dark and twisted stories they were based on.
Seriously, if you think Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" was dark in places, try reading the book. Stare
